Last but not the least, pick a
carbohydrate source based on your
metabolic window.
Exp: source inside: 1/2 cup of rice and always accompany your
high energy carb source with a low energy carb source. So pair
your rice with some broccoli or grilled brussel sprouts (this will
also help balance out the acid/alkaline ratio of the meal which
will be discussed on the pages to come).
Outside your metabolic window: choose a low energy carb
source. My favorite is cauliflower mash! Tastes very similar to
mashed potatoes! Directions for the cauliflower mash can be
found in the main meals section on page 56 of your recipe book
And there you have it! Very straight forward and to the point! It's 35
great to know what foods are healthy, but it's more important
to know how to construct a nutrient dense meal and optimally
utilize nutrient timing. Now you know exactly how to do so!
There are no meal plans provided because it is about teaching
you how to make your own! Instead, I have provided you with
endless recipe ideas you'll love! With these recipes, healthy
eating will be a piece of cake... literally.
