Meal Application
Now since you know how to meal time your meals with the specific macronutrients, let's go over in more
detail how to apply this and create your own metabolic enhancing meals.
First, let me give you an example of a meal that is not metabolically enhancing, and how we can easily
enhance it.
Exp: cheeseburger with fries
Okay, so for this purpose, let's just say you are consuming this meal post-workout (which means it fits inside
your metabolic window). Let's go ahead and tweak this meal optimally.
Remove the burger bun and use a lettuce wrap instead! This is a great way to cut down on processed carbs
and calories. Now for the meat: substitute with an extra lean burger and try using condiments like hummus &
salsa instead of ketchup, which is high in sugar.
Let's now improve the omega ratio of this meal by perhaps topping off the burger with chopped walnuts, 1/4
an avocado or even a tsp of flax oil! 32
Last but not least: the fries! Substitute with your very own baked sweet potato fries (lightly season with olive
oil: use spray to cut down on fat content) and use sea salt or pink Himalayan salt instead of table salt. And
voila, you now got yourself a metabolic enhancing meal! Started from the bottom, now we're here!
