Martin Luther King, Jr: ‘I have a dream.’ That is called vision to lead them and their
organization, their nation to the independent state or country. A successful leader

certainly must have a dream to grasp and achieve some goal at the end of the journey.

Jeff Bezos: Founder and CEO, Amazon: did not invent the idea of selling

books over the internet. Others were already doing that when he established Amazon
in 1994. But he did have a vision of how he could use better software to make the sales

process work more efficiently. Even more significantly, Jeff ultimately had the vision
of selling almost anything over the internet at a time when it was still somewhat in its

infancy. His secret reveals in an interview, held in Washington, D.C. on 2018: ‘being

willing to take chances and to fail, focusing on the long term, placing customers first,
getting a full night’s sleep, not making key decisions too early or too late in the day,

                       and having supportive parents.
Bill Gate was the first to admit to John D. Rockefeller with the rise of

personal computers and software, the building of one of the world’s most successful
companies. His unrivaled success seems to be due to a combination of vision, intellect,

drive, and focus. He has foreseen or had a clear vision that in the future, the software
will become more important and valuable than the hardware.

Warren Buffett: Most recently, become one of the world’s largest
philanthropists, agreeing to give the bulk of his $75 billion fortune to the Bill & Melinda

Gates Foundation. He attributes his success and leadership to his passion for what he

has been doing his whole life — looking at opportunities to invest in companies at

prices that seem likely to increase and thereby create attractive returns. His vision
might not be clear, but he has attention to believe in it.

Successful leaders know that without clear goals, the organization might go

around in circles being pulled in different directions which can be both demotivating
