72 To become a successful leader, one must learn and practice the significance of the

                       law of navigation.

                                 5) The Law of Addition
As Albert Einstein once stated, “Only a life lived in the service of others is

worth living.” True leaders are always looking for opportunities to lift up those around
                            73
                       them.
Many people think about leadership in a position that is successful. And most

of them are run harder and climb up for themselves to reach the top of the place that
makes people looking at them in a high position. As matter of fact, they are not true

leaders that people admire as they wish to be. Because they are selfish and forget to add
value to others, lift others to be in a higher place, and advance others to achieve by

providing and adding value to others. And also, Maxwell illustrates his opinion in an

interview with Tom Bilyeu that “The first principle of the power of leadership is valuing
                               74
people.” But the way to adding value to the other is harder than people think.
Therefore, Maxwell set off the four fundamental steps for every leader who wants to
practice the Law of Addition. They are… “1. Adding value to others when we truly

value others, 2. Adding value to others when we make ourselves more valuable to

others, 3. Adding value to others when we know and relate to what others value, and 4.
                                                                                75
adding value to others when we do things that God values.”
                                 6) The Law of Solid Ground
One thing is true that everything must have a foundation to organize

something to be stronger. The thing that easy to be broken and hard to build is called
Trust. People follow their leader not because of just desire to follow because they are
