Somehow, this section is going to express deeply and using the seven
essential principles among the 21 Laws which are useful for every leader in positive
way of leading the subordinates in both the business world and religious community.
Maxwell acknowledges that he spent twenty years researching and lecture about
leadership principles in many organizations and conferences. Even though these 21
laws of leadership is not the universal law as people believe in religion to attain the
ultimate goal, or even he is experimented by himself as an ordinary expert researcher,
but his laws of leadership become like magical tools that can change people and
organization by accepting them as the guide masters.
1) The Law of The Lid
Maxwell gave a clear example of Dick and Maurice: Mc Donald Brothers
who have a dream to become rich men in search of the American Dream to make it a
clear understanding of his first law: the Law of the Lid. This law is seemed to be the
most important for every leader. Because Maxwell set it up in the first place and also
he used to explain it in most of his conferences. The law of the lid will help a person to
understand the value of leadership. If one’s can get a handle on this law, he will see the
incredible impact of leadership in every aspect of life.
And also Maxwell concludes that ‘Leadership ability is the lid that
determines a person’s level of effectiveness. The lower an individual’s ability to lead,
the lower the lid on his potential. The higher the individual’s ability to lead, the higher

the lid on his potential.
Maxwell observed that even Dick and Maurice were geniuses in the kitchen,
good at the customer but they are lacked the law of leadership to make their business
