            THEORY

A course of action is "a step or step taken by administration for improvement or further action with regard to the
            problem.
In this type of questions, a statement is given followed by two or three courses of action I, II or III. The candidates have
to grasp the statement and have to decide which course of action is logically follow.
A course of action is the particular step or action or decision to be taken for improvement of problem."

            EXAMPLE

Statement: The ground water in the locality has been found to contain high level of arsenic making it dangerous to
            drink.
Course of action: I. The people living in the area should be shifted to another area to avoid a catastrophic situation.
II. The Government should make arrangement for supply of safe drinking water.
Solution: Clearly it is understand that shifting of people to other areas on immediate basis is not possible, the best
possible course of action must be step II.
