Diversified reserves the right to conduct searches and inspections of employees, employees’ personal effects or
Diversified provided materials such as lunch boxes, thermoses, purses, lockers, desks, personal computer files,
cabinets, file drawers, packages or vehicles without notice. Any illegal and/or unauthorized articles discovered
may be taken into custody and may be turned over to law enforcement representatives. Any company employee
who refuses to submit to a search or found in possession of prohibited articles will be subject to corrective action
up to and including termination of employment.
Drug & Alcohol Use†
Diversified has a strong commitment to provide a safe workplace for its employees. Consistent with that
commitment, Diversified has adopted an alcohol and drug-free work site policy. Our policy prohibits the use,
sale, distribution, manufacture or possession of alcohol, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, the unauthorized
use of prescription drugs, and the misuse of any legally obtained drug (prescriptions or over-the-counter
medications) on company premises, at any location at which company business is conducted (including company
and private vehicles), and while on company time. In addition, this policy requires employee to report to work
free of the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. Employees who are taking prescription drugs or over-the-counter
drugs that may affect their performance should discuss their situation with their healthcare provider before
reporting to work. Any violation of this policy will result in corrective action, up to and including termination of
employment.
Discrimination and Harassment†
Diversified employees are entitled to work in an environment that is professional and free of discrimination and
harassment based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, age,
marital status, source of income, disability, veteran or other protected status. Such conduct is prohibited by
Diversified and will not be tolerated by any employee, customer or supplier. Diversified is committed to taking
all reasonable steps to prevent discrimination and harassment from occurring.
Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcome or unwanted conduct of a sexual nature, whether verbal or physical,
when:
• Submission to or rejection of the conduct by an individual is used as a factor in decisions affecting
hiring, promotion, transfer, evaluation or other aspects of employment; or
• The conduct interferes with an individual's employment or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive
work environment.
Examples of sexual harassment include, but are not limited to:
• Unwanted sexual advances
• Offering employment benefits in exchange for sexual favors
