Tea and Coffee facilities (as well as fruit and bread) are provided in the JCR Kitchenette. Hygiene
and cleanliness of the kitchenette is the responsibility of the Student Club. Please put your dirty
dishes in the dishwasher provided. If the dishwasher is full, clean any crockery and cutlery you use
by hand.
It is everyone’s responsibility to clean up after themselves in a shared environment.
The Student Club provides some shared cooking utensils in most kitchenettes. Please remember that
this is property of the student club (and comes from student fees) and must be looked after.
Please follow general pantry etiquette – label your food (name and date); clean up after
yourselves; take care of shared property; throw away out of date food; and keep noise to a
minimum in kitchenettes and pantries so as not to disturb other students, especially after 10pm and
before 8am.
Every quarter the Kitchen completes a stocktake and the Student Club is charged for all missing
crockery & cutlery above the 10% reasonable breakage allowance. This charge reduces the money
available to the Student Club to provide the Student Club parties, suppers, play, sporting events,
etc.
