Dental Plan
It’s important to have regular dental exams and cleanings so
problems are detected before they become painful—and
expensive. Keeping your teeth and gums clean and healthy
will help prevent most tooth decay and periodontal disease
and is an important part of maintaining your medical health.
Dental benefits are provided by the district to staff
members who are eligible to receive the benefits, which
include professional educators, 12-month support staff,
nurses, interpreters, professional exempt employees, and
administrators.
All 100% FTE staff members will pay 0% of the cost of their
dental benefits. Eligible staff members who are less than
full time but at least 40% FTE will receive a prorated portion
of the district’s cost for the dental premium equivalent if
the staff member chooses to have the dental benefit
coverage, and the staff member will pay the difference in
the cost of the dental benefit.
