Troubleshooting
• If this connection fails, contact Iris Power LP Technical Support for assistance.
7.10. Alert Relay
There are three main components that can cause problems in the Alert Relay; the relay
itself, the relay fuse, and the connections to the rest of the system.
WARNING:
Depending on the specific application, there could be up to 250 Vac or 250
Vdc present on the Alert connection.
When troubleshooting the GuardII+ Alert, take appropriate cautions to
prevent injury due to the voltage levels that may be present. Disconnect
the Alert source from the monitor whenever possible.

NOTE:
The troubleshooting process may find a problem with the connection to
the plant system; resolving this may not fall within Iris Power LP’s scope
of responsibility.
When the Alert Relay is not functioning or there is an incorrect Alert indication at the plant
system, check the following:
• Check that the Alert Relay terminal block is fully inserted and secure.
• Check that the leads connecting to the Alert Relay terminal block are fully inserted and
the screws tightened.
• Use a screwdriver to remove FUSE3 and check it. Replace the fuse if necessary; refer
to Section 3.1 for fuse specifications.
• If any of the above were incorrect, check to see if the problem has been fixed.
