Troubleshooting
7.7.2. USB Hardware
When the GuardII+ is connected to the computer through USB, the “PC” indicator will turn
on.
• If the indicator does not turn on, then the monitor cannot detect the connection. Try
using a different USB cable, and then try a different USB port of the computer.
NOTE:
When connecting to a different USB port on the computer, the USB drivers
will have to be installed again on the computer for that port.
Next, check the cabling inside the monitor. Verify that the USB cable running from the
User Interface Board on the inside of the front panel to the Processor Module is fully inserted,
properly secured, and undamaged for its entire length.

• If a problem with the cable is found, fix the issue by replacing or re-securing the cable
as needed, then check to see if the connection problem still exists.
Disconnect the USB cable from the Processor Module and connect the computer to the
Processor Module directly; check to see if the USB communication problem still exists.
• If USB now works, this indicates a problem with the User Interface Board. Contact Iris
Power LP Technical Support for assistance.
