Troubleshooting
• If the USB still does not work, this indicates a problem with the Processor Module.

7.8. USB Drive Communications
There are two main failure mechanisms when performing USB drive operations:
• Failure to detect the USB drive
• Failure to transfer data to the USB drive

NOTE:
Be certain to remove the USB drive from the GuardII+ after the
troubleshooting; the monitor will remain offline until the drive is removed.
7.8.1. USB Drive Detection Failure
When the USB drive is inserted into the USB drive connector on the GuardII+ panel, the
“Memory” indicator will light up.
• If the indicator does not start blinking green (there may be a brief orange indicator
while the USB drive is being detected and mounted), then the monitor cannot detect
the connection. Try a different USB drive.
Next, check the cabling inside the monitor. Verify that the USB cable running from the
User Interface board on the inside of the front panel to the Processor Module is fully inserted,
properly secured, and undamaged for its entire length.
