Troubleshooting
• If the data transfer fails on more than one USB drive that have enough space for the
data transfer, this indicates a problem with the GuardII+. Contact Iris Power LP
Technical Support for assistance.
7.9. Ethernet Communication
There are two parts of the Ethernet communications that need to be checked; the physical
connection and the Ethernet configuration.
NOTE:
Troubleshooting a plant network infrastructure is not part of Iris Power LP’s
scope of responsibility. The plant network is the responsibility of the plant
IT department.
7.9.1. Ethernet Link
If the Ethernet does not work, the first thing to check is the Ethernet indicator on the
GuardII+ front panel when the Ethernet cable is plugged in. This indicator indicates the
presence of a physical connection (it should be turned on).

• If the Ethernet indicator is turned on, then the physical connection is detected; go to
Section 7.9.3.
If the Ethernet indicator does not turn on, then the monitor cannot detect the physical
connection.
7.9.2. Ethernet Connection
Connect the GuardII+ to a different network connection (such as a laptop computer) using
a different Ethernet cable.
