Troubleshooting
7.4.1. Power Connections
Regardless of which type of enclosure is purchased, the AC Termination Board contains
the main ac power connection for the GuardII+ electronics.
Figure 7-4 GuardII+ Power Connections
Check the following:
• Verify that the main power terminal block is fully inserted and secured.
• Verify that the leads connecting to the main power terminal block are fully inserted and
the screws tightened.
• Use a screwdriver to remove FUSE1 and check if it is blown. If the voltage selection
switch is set for 230 Vac, remove and check FUSE2 as well. Replace the fuses if
necessary; refer to Section 3.1 for fuse specifications.
• Measure the voltage at the main power terminal block.
• Verify that the power switch is set to ON.
• If any of the above were incorrect, check to see if the problem has been fixed.
7.5. Panel Connections
If the Processor Module indicators are behaving normally, but the Front Panel indicators
are not, this indicates a connection problem between the Carrier Board in the main electronics
and the User Interface Board mounted on the inside of the Front Panel.
Check the following on the User Interface Board and the Carrier Board:
• Verify that the power indicator on the User Interface Board is turned on.
• Verify that the ribbon cable is properly seated on the User Interface Board and the
Carrier Board.
• Verify that the ribbon cable is not damaged anywhere along its length.
• Verify that the ground cables are secure.
