Troubleshooting
Any basic diagnostic failure will cause the Error indicator on the front panel to blink orange;
so, if the Error indicator is blinking orange, the basic diagnostics should be the first thing to
check.

7.1.2. Advanced Diagnostics
More detailed diagnostics are available on a USB drive after downloading data from the
monitor as described in Section 6.4.2. These diagnostics include detailed event-based
information over the lifetime of the device such as reboots and measurement status.
If it is convenient, this could be included on any Technical Support inquiry, but the
advanced diagnostics typically would not be necessary for resolving most issues.
7.2. Basic Operation
The first thing to check is the Power indicator on the front panel. During normal operation
and once the monitor is booted up, the Power indicator should be green. Note that it will take
about 45 seconds for GuardII+ to start running measurements after being turned on or re-
booted.

• If the Power indicator remains turned off, this could indicate an internal connection
problem, or a complete power failure; go to Section 7.4.
• If the Power indicator stays orange for more than approximately 30 seconds or
continues blinking green, this indicates a failure during the booting process; go to
Section 7.3.
Once the Power indicator is green (and not blinking), then the monitor has booted up
properly; now check the Error indicator. This indicator should be turned off.
