8. GuardII+ Indicators

The GuardII+ indicators are the primary source of status information when a
connection to the monitor is not available.
Use of the indicators for basic troubleshooting is described in Section 7. This section
describes the complete behavior of the GuardII+ indicators.

8.1. Front Panel Indicators

The indicators on the front panel are the main source of top-level status information.

During the boot process, the Front Panel indicators behave as follows:
• The Power indicator turns orange when power is first applied

• After approximately 20 seconds, the Power indicator will start to blink green
• After approximately 15 seconds more, the Power indicator turns solid green and
the GuardII+ has finished booting up.
At this point, the other indicators on the front panel will be in their operational states.

8.1.1. Power Indicator

Off No ac power applied, or critical power failure
Orange Hardware configuration in progress
Green blink Firmware loading
