GuardII+ Indicators
8.1.7. USB Drive Port Indicator
A typical USB drive communication process is listed below:
• When the USB drive is plugged in, the indicator may be orange briefly while the
drive is detected. Note that it is possible for this indicator state to be skipped; this
does not indicate a problem if the data transfer progresses.
• The indicator blinks green while the transfer is in progress
• Once completed, the indicator turns off, and the USB drive may now be removed
Behavior Meaning
Off No data transfer in progress
Orange Detecting and mounting drive
Green blink Data transfer in progress
Red Data transfer failed
NOTE:
Be certain to remove the USB drive once the download is complete;
GuardII+ is offline while the drive is inserted.
8.2. Processor Module Indicators
The indicators on the Processor Module are used for troubleshooting low-level boot
problems. These would be needed in cases where the monitor is not booting at all, and
the front panel indicators are not providing enough information.
Figure 8-2 GuardII+ Processor Module Indicators
During the boot process, the Processor Module indicators will turn on in sequence;
each showing that a different part of the boot process has been completed. If the GuardII+
is not booting properly, the status of these indicators after the failed boot-up is important
information for determining the root cause of the problem.
• After a successful boot, these indicators will be green except for indicator ‘H’, which
will be blinking green
• After a failed boot, some of these indicators may be green, and some will be off or
other colors; record the state and color of the indicators or take a photograph
