1.7.2.3. Accreditation Committee for Professors
Faculty members whose NBC points reached professor I-VI ranks for the
first time must undergo screening by a Regional Accreditation Committee to be
confirmed by a National Accreditation Committee duly organized by the Philippine
Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC). For faculty who reached
University Professor rank, he/she must be accredited by a National Accreditation
Committee in PASUC. Said accreditation is required before any appointment will be
issued to effect the promotion.
1.8. Faculty Workload
1.8.1. Terms Defined
1.8.1.1. The term “Workload” (WL) is hereby simplified to refer to loads of work given to
faculty members per semester that includes assignments/ functions in a) instruction,
b) research, c) extension, d) production/ IGP and e) others/ administrative
designations. The regular WL of a faculty in Ifugao State University is 18 units.
1.8.1.2. Compensatory Overtime Credits (COCs) - Are any units of WL in excess of 18 units/
semester. These are pooled/ lumped and converted into compensatory time-offs
(CTOs) by the HRMO that can be used by any faculty to cover his/her absences or
undertimes.
1.8.1.3. Teaching Load (TL) refers to actual teaching loads given to faculty members
measured in unit load of subjects to teach (under a. instruction) assigned to a
