conduct research and extension activities with funding from
the university subject to approval.
1.4.4.2.2.2. If employed in other agencies, part-time faculty are obliged
to submit a permit to teach from their mother agency or
school to the Dean of the College/ Campus Director who
recommends them for hiring.
1.4.4.2.2.3. If the subject load is increased to be more than 9 units,
they will be converted into full-time contractual faculty
members.
1.4.4.2.2.4. Part-time faculty in the graduate and undergraduate
programs will be paid on the following rate:
1.4.4.2.2.4.1. Php 200.00/hour for Baccalaureate Degree
holders but with special license such as
engineers, CPA, and or with specialized
trainings.
1.4.4.2.2.4.2. Php 300.00/hr. for Master’s degree holders
including bar passers and licensed medical
doctors/ practitioners.
1.4.4.2.2.4.3. Php 350.00/hr. for holders of earned
Doctorate degree (e.g. PhD or EdD), Judges
of courts, Chief of Hospital, and Heads of
Offices with salary grades of 26 and above.
1.4.4.2.2.5. Contracts of part-time faculty members expire at the end of
every term (semester or summer). The Department/College
Head may recommend renewal of their contracts only if the
following are met:
1.4.4.2.2.5.1. If they have subject loads to teach that
cannot be taught by existing faculty
members;
1.4.4.2.2.5.2. The part-time faculty obtained a very
satisfactory teaching performance as
evaluated by the Department/ College/
Campus;
1.4.4.2.2.5.3. The faculty complied reasonably with school
regulations and administrative requirements
for attendance, punctuality and schedules of
submission of grades/ reports and others.
1.4.4.2.2.6. Part-time faculty members are expected to serve the entire
term of their employment. Any violation of the contract will
result to non-renewal of contract or early termination of
contract.
1.4.4.3. Visiting Professor/Lecturer
Visiting professors are those invited by the University from other institutions
to render services in the form of instruction, research, extension, and the like for
the duration of a program. Foreign professors who are invited to speak in a
forum, symposium, or a lecture series fall under this category. They are to be
paid honoraria based on DBM approved rates.
1.4.4.4. Exchange Faculty/ Professor
These are faculty members from any partner HEI or State Universities and
Colleges (SUCs) who are invited to render instruction, research, and extension or
