expectations from them based on their academic ranks hence will be rated poorly in
relation to performance ratings for incentives purposes. An Instruction-based faculty
with a rank of Associate Professor who failed to meet the minimum WL of 18 from
Instruction, Research, Extension and Production or who failed to meet the mandatory
WL of 13 units from Instruction and Research even if the total WL is more than 18
must be rated not higher than satisfactory for having not met what is expected of
him/ her.
1.8.2.25. For purposes of computing the minimum 18 WL of permanent/ temporary/
probationary faculty and 24 WL of full-time contractual faculty, the table of functions
with their corresponding credit unit presented in table 6 must be followed.

A.1. Lecture and Laboratory Classes:
For every hour lecture/week in the Graduate programs 1.5

For every 1 hour laboratory/week (for subjects with Laboratory) 0.75

Note: A 3 unit subject with laboratory will have corresponding WL credit as a result of multiplying the lecture
and laboratory hour with the corresponding value in the matrix. Example. Computer subject with 3 units
taught in 2 hours lecture and 3 hours laboratory per week will be credited as: Lecture = 2 X 1 = 2 +
laboratory = 3 X .75 = 2.25 will result to a total WL of 4.25. This applies to all courses/ subjects with
laboratory.

B. Research - Approved and implemental researches within time frame: Maximum of 9 units for
university professors/professors and 6 units for associate professors and below.

C. Extension (Maximum of 5.0)
