“Kim, get us out of here!” Elaine shouts while shooting flames at everything

that enters the door.

“I-I can’t,” I stammer struggling to even sit up.

“Yes you can Kimmie, if you don’t, we die so figure it out!” Elaine insists,

“You really are the worst sister.” I heave trying to concentrate on rebooting

my powers and glitching us out.

Chapter 11

Alex shouts to begin the match and I snap out of my flashback.

Elaine charges first, swinging her fist at me, I block it with my forearm and
counter with a kick to the stomach. Elaine swings her legs at my ankles but I jump

over her dodging. We continue to spar each other making no progress.

“I am going to invert your ribcage Elaine, if you don’t start losing!” I gripe

while kicking her in the head.

“Love you too sis.” Elaine laughs while grabbing my arm and throwing me

over her back.

I pull her down to the ground with me and before you know it we are rolling

over each other trying to pin the other down at any means necessary. Once again

no one is winning or losing, we’ve become evenly matched.

After I managed to glitch out of the lab where Elaine and I stayed at, we

found shelter wherever we could. Once my wounds healed up we began to spar

just to pass time when we weren’t running away from Syndromes other

mutants. Even while simply training and sparring Elaine could still beat me every

time and it was all the same annoying.
