“This is impossible!” I shout while punching a scaly green mutant, “If we

can’t kill them they just keep coming back for more!”

“We are not killing them Kim, it’s not their fault, and they don’t deserve to

               die!” Elaine orders.

“Ya, I know Elaine, you know I wouldn’t, but we can’t keep doing this

forever.” I reply while stunning a dozen or so mutants. “The only thing really

making a difference are the bombs.”

“We’ll think of something.” Helena answers.

“Helena, how many bombs do we have? I’ve got an idea but it’s risky.” I

               ask.

“Are you sure we have enough?” Elaine asks while placing another bomb on

               the ground and priming it.

“We should as long as they all go off at the same time.” Helena answers

while fighting to place another one with an icy humanoid pulling at her wings.

“Mine are all set, let’s get back to the communications tower.” Elaine adds.

I glitch back to the compound out of breathe. This battle has been going on

too long at this point, we’re behind schedule. I place Helena close to the

communications tower and put a shield around the tower, myself and her. As part

of the plan Elaine stays out of the shield so she can light the bombs from a

relatively safe distance using her fire power then quickly jump into my shield. The

bomb grid reaches over the entire battlefield and shouldn’t kill anyone one and I

should be strong enough to hold the shield without getting too unfocused on

keeping my father out of my head.
“Do you have your sword?” I ask my sister.

                       “No…”
                       “Why?”

“A giant rock monster ate it.”
