Peculiar Grace for Your Destiny

you noticed, there will be moments of the shadow of
death too, when your life seems threatened. Those are
moments when only grace will enable you to say like
                                    the Psalmist, “I will fear no evil; For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

Jesus prepared for the deserts of His life. First, at the
young age of 12 years, when His mates would have
other priorities and preferences for their time, He had
an insatiable desire for the presence of God and was
willing to negotiate the company of His earthly
parents and family members to be alone in the
Temple. Though in the midst of a crowd, He moved
alone, with a singular resolve to be intimate with God.
The account in Luke 2:40-50 makes interesting
                                    reading:

“His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the
Feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve
years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to
the custom of the feast. When they had finished
the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered
behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and His mother
did not know it; but supposing Him to have been
in the company, they went a day’s journey, and
sought Him among their relatives and
acquaintances. So when they did not find Him,
they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him. Now so
it was that after three days they found Him in the
