GRACE, Exploring Its Riches
e have established that grace comes from Jesus
Christ. He is the one who paid the price for this
Wresource of our heavenly Father to become
accessible to every human being. It makes Jesus the
principal channel through which we can receive the grace
of God.
Grace, for the Christian, can be likened to fuel in a vehicle.
While the vehicle is filled with fuel and parked, the fuel
level remains the same. However, as the vehicle is put to use
the fuel is depleted. The rate of depletion of the fuel can also
be influenced by several factors like speed, load carried,
fault with the engine, air-conditioning, and all such. Very
much so with the CHRISTIAN and grace. As the Christian
puts his God-given grace to use, it is unnoticeably depleted,
and needs to be constantly refilled at Grace Stations.
To function as a Christian in any human sphere on a daily
basis requires constant use of grace. As we bear other
people’s burdens, function as Christians in our homes,
workplaces, schools, on the highway, in the marketplace
and all, grace is being put to use; it is thus depleting. This is
why some Christians experience burnout, a situation
where they become drained and are not able to handle the
pressures of life anymore. Burnout is never God’s will for
the believer. So, the Christian must know where and how
to fuel up with grace periodically.
