GRACE, Exploring Its Riches
hands on him and inaugurated him, just as the
LORD commanded by the hand of Moses”
(Numbers 27:12-23).
From Joshua’s example we can see that service with the
right heart, on the foundation of intimacy with God, is a
sure and proven channel into the grace of God.
So, let us challenge the saints of this generation to be aware
of this uncommon channel which can catapult people into
fulfilling their divine destinies. There are some levels of
grace that praying, and studying and fasting may never
connect a saint with. Sometimes, God strategically places
people around us, like parents, mentors at work, pastors in
church, as moulders of destiny. With a discerning heart we
can connect with the right people to serve; and God in due
season has a way of rewarding us with uncommon grace
through serving these people faithfully.
It must also be noted that in the cases studied, as well as
other cases in the Scriptures, the grace transferred did not
come from the people served. It came through them, as
from the Lord, because God is the Owner and Source of
grace. When Elijah was asked by Elisha for a double portion
of his grace, even Elijah said, “You have asked a hard or
difficult thing. Nevertheless...” (2 Kings 2:9-10).
