GRACE, Exploring Its Riches

to lose grace. This is why it is important for a Christian to
intentionally seek humility always in order to retain the
holy anointing of the Lord and to keep and maintain God’s
grace. Lack of humility corrupts the anointing and cause
the loss of grace. Intermittent humility is not enough to
attract grace. Humility must be retained as a lifestyle,
especially after we have received the grace of God.

Many of God’s servants and children lose humility after the
grace of God begins to produce results in their lives. We
have seen and heard of cases where after the grace of God
begins to bring prominence, open doors, access to
uncommon places and people, the carriers of God’s grace
begin to display qualities that can corrupt the holy grace
they received of the Lord. The Bible give us some examples
                               of such bad cases.

Saul, the first king of Israel, was a simple and unassuming
man before the grace of God located him. He was willing
and eager to look for his father’s lost donkeys. He eagerly
listened to his servant and followed the servant to Samuel’s
house. He had no problems listening to a subordinate’s
counsel when he was unknown. When Samuel sought to
anoint him as king, out of his unassuming nature and
unwillingness to be known he hid among the equipment (1
Samuel 9-10). However, shortly after he became king he
started to behave in a manner that is alien to the grace of
God. Eventually he lost the grace and calling of God and
was replaced. You find similar patterns with many of the
