kings of Israel and Judah; they were humble before the
anointing came on them but become haughty afterwards,
and many of them perished in ignominy.
The ignoble end of those kings should serve as lessons to
every Christian, irrespective of our calling and sphere of
influence. Grace is available for our calling and destiny
through humility; but this grace should be kept pure by
staying humble.
Grace Station 7: The Marriage Covenant
Marriage is both an institution and a ministry ordained of
the Lord. After the New Covenant, which brings one into a
vertical relationship with God as our Saviour, the next most
important covenant God has given man is the marriage
covenant, which brings a one into a lifelong horizontal
relationship with one’s spouse. Seeing the importance of
this relationship, God endows a dimension of grace on it to
operate between a man and his wife. A lack of
understanding of the grace available within a holy
matrimony may make a couple, and by extension their
home, to struggle. Conversely, where the purpose of the
marriage covenant is understood and the man along with
his wife honour the marriage covenant, they stand to release
a peculiar grace in their home which makes things to work
for them supernaturally. It’s the reason God, through one of
His prophets, warns all men to watch how they treat their
wives, whom God regards as wives by covenant.
