points. This means the same judgments that fell on
Sodom can be repeated. God promised to never again
judge the earth with an overflowing flood, but He still
has "reserves of fire" to try the earth.
Therefore as I live, saith the Lord of hosts, God
of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the
children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breed-
ing of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desola-
tion.

brought destruction to all past societies.
The Bible lists a number of flash points that bring on
judgment. Let me bring six of them to your attention.

1. Putting Our Foot in God's Tent
God sends His powerful judgments immediately after
mankind attempts one step out of his assigned domain.
God put boundaries on mankind, the earth and its full-
ness. He was commanded to replenish and rule the
earth. But, the universe is His. He calls every star by
name!
David said, "The heavens are thine, the work of thy
fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast or-
dained . . ." (Psalms 8:3). The prophet Isaiah said
God "stretched out the heavens, and spread out a tent
to dwell in . . . He created all these things. . . ."

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth,
and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers: that
stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and
spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.
