'Infinite Life Force' has a natural upsurge (स्फ ु रण), to manifest itself in various forms.

Therefore, by virtue of the systematised order that inherently exists in the Cosmic Life

Force, the natural upsurge projects and materialises itself in various forms. Just as
electricity requires various media such as bulbs, tubes, fans, etc. to manifest itself,

similarly this formless, attributeless, invisible Cosmic Life Force requires gross forms to
manifest itself. In the process of creation of a medium for manifestation in a gross form,

an extraordinary phenomenon occurs, by dint of which The Life Force forgets its intrinsic
divine nature. Nobody so far has realised the reason for this amnesia, nor is there any

possibility of anybody realising it in future also, as to why and how this amnesia occurs.
"The Scriptures describe the reason for this amnesia as Maya (माया), while

JEEVANVIDYA designates it as 'Reason Unknown' "

God Accepts a Medium
The Cosmic Life Force accepts the medium of the human body to manifest itself, in

this process, Cosmic Life Force becomes The Life Force in the human body and when this
Life Force identifies itself with the human body, then the true identity of the Divine Life

Force is totally lost and a false identity of an individual is established in place of the Life
Force. Thus 'Shiva' becomes 'Jiwa' or the supreme soul becomes an individual soul and

this loss of its true identity by the Life Force results in the transformation of Divine
Consciousness into Body Consciousness. Life Force, which is a part and parcel of Cosmic

Life Force is by nature Divine Consciousness and Divine Unconsciousness. However when
it accepts the medium of the human body and gets identified with it, this Divine

Consciousness is transformed into Body Consciousness, as stated above. Due to this
transformation, Divine Consciousness and Divine Unconsciousness is reduced to the level

of 'Impure consciousness' and 'Impure Unconsciousness.' The result of this
transformation is that this Impure Conscious Power assumes the form of the Conscious

Mind in human life and establishes contact consciously with the world, through the five
organs of senses and five organs of knowledge, while the Impure Unconscious Power

assumes the form of the Subconscious Mind and functions unconsciously through the
power of intuition. Thus the conscious mind functions in the sphere of conscious activities

of human life through the faculty of reasoning power while the subsconscious mind
functions in the unconscious field of regulating the inner subtle and vital systems and
