P. 6

Hi there,

Hopefully you are all well at this time, not too stressed & keeping safe by staying at home. As you all
know, the Parish Centre is currently closed to the public however, the Key Project staff are busy
working away in our secluded offices at home so we can keep the service running for the local com-
munity. We believe it is now more important than ever to keep the service functioning in whatever
          way we are able to.

We continue to produce the Jobs Booklet, email it to our clients as well as uploading it to our
webpage within the BRILL website https://brillfrc.ie/services/employment-supports/ and linking it to
          our Key Project Facebook https://www.facebook.com/brillfrc.ie/.

Facebook is also maintained daily, advertising local jobs and available services in addition to sharing
new COVID-19 advice obtained from reliable sources. This information is shared on all BRILL
          Facebook pages.

We are currently updating our employment database and will soon be back to sending out job alerts
          by text.

          Community Employment
Recruitment to Community Employment (CE) schemes are suspended for the moment until further
          notice.

While several of the (CE) schemes are closed or partially closed there are also many that continue to
work to support the Voluntary and Community sector in areas such as ‘Meals on Wheels’,
Wheelchair associations, Carers Associations etc., as well as the Key Project. Some of these people
go into work on a daily basis to ensure services for the most vulnerable remain open and some, like
us, work from home communicating with each other via text and video calling so that the
Key Project can continue in so far as is possible to provide our services to the community.

Although some of the schemes may be closed staff continue to engage with online training while
others have signed up to do online courses to keep themselves occupied. It might be something you
could look at yourself as now all online courses with eCollege are free for everyone. Have a look at
our information section for a list of free courses

In this trying time we want you to know that we are still here to support you in any way we can.
While we are limited in the ways we can communicate with you, if you need any help or support, the
best way you can contact us is through our Facebook page or email to keyproject@brillfrc.ie leave
your number and a member of staff will get back to you. If you need any information, printing, or
forms downloaded we will do our best to accommodate.
The Key Project team are more than willing to help update your CV & cover letter or any query you
might have with the job application process.

          Continue to stay safe
