Amygdalin

      Uses and side effects:
          • The cyanogenic diglucoside, amygdalin, is thought to have an
anticancer activity. Still, evidence based research on
amygdalin is sparse and its benefit controversial.
          • Excessive ingestion of this glycoside can be fatal and can
cause severe gastric irritation and damage if not properly
              handled.

                                   Prunasin

It is a mandelonitrile cyanogenic glucoside, obtained from Prunus padas
and Prunus serotina (wild cherry bark). Chemicallyitis a D-mandelonitrile
glucoside.

                                 Prulaurasin

It is a DL-mandelonitrile glucoside, obtained from Prunus laurocerasus
(Cherry laurel leaves).

                                Sambunigrin

It is an L-mandelonitrile glucoside, obtained from Sambucus nigra.
