AN ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION GOVERi'ITNG
THE CITY'S "EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH" PROGRAM
Section 1. The Employee Council, with the assistance of the Personnel Deparbnent, is
responsible for the operation of the City's Employee Recognition Program. TI\e Employee
Council President shaU estnblish a committee to meet moutbly to select each "Employee of the
Month" after the nominations from the respective departments are received by the third Monday
of each month.
Section 2. Any su·pervisor or employeemny nomi11nte an employee every month from their
department for "Employee of the Month." All nominations shall be on the nttnebed form u.nd
shall be tnmsm.ittc.d to tlie City Manager's office 'by the third Monday of each month. TI1e
"Employee of the Month" committee shall then select the "Employee of the Month."
SectloJ1 3, All employees in the Clericalfl eclutlcal, Labor Trades, Electric, l'rotecti vc Services
and Professional Admh1i.strative occupational groups are eligible for nomination as "Employee
of the Month." Executive/Management staff are ineligible.
Section 4. Each "Employee of the Month" shalt receive an award to be detcmnintd lllllllinlly b
Ute .Employee ColU1cil and a certificate of appreciation. The employee's umnc shall be added as
an inscription on a plaque.
