        8.6 SERVICE PROVIDERS

The IT Infrastructure will be designed to allow the tenants to have multiple simultaneous voice, video, and Internet service from
        the following providers:
            • Spectrum (Time Warner)

            • FIOS (Verizon)

8.7 MAIN TELECOM EQUIPMENT ROOM (MTER)

The MTER (sometimes referred to as the MDF) is the aggregation point of telecommunications connectivity for the voice, data and
video transmission within the facility. It shall be located at the architect’s discretion of the building. The MTER shall be located on
the basement level due to space constraints and the building’s location away from the flood plain.
The MTER will also serve as the main termination point for all wide-area network (WAN) carrier circuits and local-area network
        (LAN) building backbone cabling.
The MTER will be sized and arranged to accommodate the following systems:
            • Structured Cabling System (SCS) backbone terminations (fiber optic and copper)
            • Voice communications hardware, e.g. VoIP, to support the voice communications

            • Local Area Networking equipment (Switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
            • Wide Area Networking equipment
            • Wireless LAN Networking equipment
            • CATV communications equipment
            • Infrastructure Application Servers (E-mail, DHCP, TFTP, etc)

            • SAN and backup devices
            • End User Applications
            • Physical Security databases, etc.
            • Carrier or circuit termination equipment
Power outlets for all transmission and terminal equipment shall be fed from UPS system dedicated to the MTER backed up by
generator power. Power to each equipment cabinet will be diversely fed from separate distribution units from separate sources
such that failure of one source will not disrupt operation of dual-power equipment. The recommended provisions for the MTER are
        defined as follows:
