Plymouth Rotary held its an- nual Change Over Celebration at the Covered Bridge Farm to Table Restaurant in Camp- ton last week. Tom and Dawn Thomson were invited to join them and speak to the group fol- lowing dinner about their animal rescue farm.
As Rotarian Tony Fitzherbert first got up to read his nomina- tion for the Rotary’s Citizen(s) of the Year presentation, it wasn’t long before Tom and Dawn real- ized he was talking about them, and the invitation to be guest speakers had actually been a ruse.

Antique & Classic Cars to Shine in Final Parade Around Newfound Lake

It’s really happening, and sadly, all good things must come to an end! Mark your calendars for Saturday, Au- gust 2—it's the last lap for the Antique and Classic Final Parade of Cars around New- found Lake. Starting at noon in Bridgewater, this one-of-a-kind cruise brings together a great mix of vintage and classic cars
for a scenic drive the whole community can enjoy. Gates open at 10 a.m. for the assem- bly of cars bbefore the wheels hit the road. It’s a fun, relaxed way to soak in some sun—and see some beautiful rides, too.
Over the years, the parade has drawn anywhere from 80 to 100 antique and classic cars—and every one of them
has a story to tell. Whether it’s a lovingly restored Model A, a flashy '60s muscle car, or a quirky vintage ride you’ve never seen before, there’s al- ways something fun and unex- pected. For the lucky drivers, it’s a chance to show off their pride and joy. For everyone else, it’s just a great way to kick back and take in a rolling
car show without even leav- ing the lake. With that many vehicles in the mix, there’s no shortage of chrome, character, and conversation. And fingers crossed—it’ll be a perfect top- down, sunglasses-on kind of day!
