Parable of the Fig Tree
From the fig tree and all the trees learn a parable. When the branches become,
tender and bring forth leaves. You know that summer is coming. You also when
you see these issues know that the kingdom of God has risen. Truly, I say to you
that this nation will not pass away until all these issues are fulfilled.
Garden
During the morning hours, he taught in a garden. The people came ahead of him
to hear him after he finished teaching he sent his followers out by two to every
place he might go. In the evenings, his followers gathered on the Mount of
Olives. They lodged near the mountain.
To whom shall I liken the men of this nation and to what are they like? They are
like boys who sit in the street and call to their friends. Saying, we have sung to
you but you did not dance. We have wailed to you and you did not weep. John
the Baptist came neither eating bread nor ingesting wine. You say he is insane.
The Son of man came eating and ingesting. You say, he is a glutton; a
winebibber; a friend of tax collectors and sinners! Wisdom is justified by all his
works. Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews but went away from
Jerusalem to a place which is close to the wilderness near the Jordan crossing.
The place where John first baptized and he remained there with his followers in
the province of Ephraim.
Who am I
Jesus came to the country of Caesarea of Philippi. On the road, he asked his
apostles what the men say concerning me, that I am. They said there are some
who say John the Baptist; others Elijah; others Jeremiah; others say that one of
the old prophets has risen up. He said to them who do you say that I am? Peter
answered you are the anointed one of God. You are the Son of the living God.
Jesus said to him blessed are you Peter. Flesh and blood did not reveal it to you
but my Father in heaven. I tell you also that you are the stone and upon this truth
I have built my Temple. I speak to all of you and give you the keys of the
kingdom of heaven and the gate of heaven will not close on you.
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Whatever you loosed on
earth shall be loosed in heaven. He cautioned them and warned them not to say
this to anyone.
