Explain the Parable of the 'Beneficial Seed
His followers came up to him and said; explain to us the parables of the tricksters
and the field. He answered and said to them, He who sowed beneficial seed is
the Son of man the field is the world, the beneficial seed are the sons of the
kingdom, but the deceivers are the sons of evil. The enemy who planted them is
the adversary. Therefore, just as the tricksters and deceivers are picked out and
cast into the fire, so shall it be at the harvest season. The Son of man will send
his angels, and they will pick out from his kingdom, all things which cause
stumbling, deceivers, tricksters and all workers of iniquity. The angels will cast
them out into the furnace of fire; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Then the righteous ones will shine as the son in the kingdom of their Father. He,
who has ears to hear, let him hear. He, who has eyes to perceive let him
perceive. Toward evening all who knew of sick people suffering from different
diseases brought them to him and he laid his hand on them and they were
healed. Many insane as they came to be healed spoke out saying, you are the
Christ, the son of God. He reprimanded them and would not allow them to tell
any man who he was. He restored the insane just by a word. As the sun set the
whole city was gathered at the door and those seriously sick, badly afflicted and
suffering from diver’s diseases. He laid his hands on each one and they were
healed. Some of them were his acquaintances. So that what was spoken by the
prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled who, said he will take our afflictions and bear our
sickness.
The Next Day
In the early morning, he went out to a lonely desert place on a mountain. The
people were looking for him. Peter came to him and said all the people are
looking for you. Jesus said to him I must teach the kingdom of God in other
cities; because I was directed by my Father. The people came and wanted him to
stay with them but he said I must teach in the Synagogues of Galilee for this I
was directed.
Parable of Lambs Lighted
Let your girdle be fastened on your loins, and your lamps lighted. Be like men
who expect their Teacher when he returns from the wedding feast; so that when
he comes and knocks, they will straightway open the door. I say to you that he
will gird himself and make them sit down, and come in and serve them. He may
come in the second or the third hour.
Blessed is that servant, when he comes and finds them doing his
commandments?
