you will see me; because I live, you shall live also. In that day, you will know that
I am with my Father and you are with me, and I am with you. He who has my
commandments with him and obeys them is the one who loves me; he who loves
me will be loved by my Father. I will love him and reveal myself to him. They
brought little children to him, that he may lay his hand on them and pray; his
followers had words with them. Jesus said to them, allow the little children to
come to me and do not stop them. The kingdom of God is for such as these and
he laid his hand on them and prayed.
None Good but God
Then a man drew near and said to him oh good Teacher what is the best thing
that I should do to have life eternal? He said to him, why do you call me good?
There is no one who is good except the one God; but if you want to enter into life
obeys the commandments. He said to him, which ones? Jesus said to him you
shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul; you shall not kill;
You shall not commit adultery; You shall not Covet; You shall not steal; You shall

as yourself. The young man said to him I have obeyed all these from my

possessions and gives them to the poor. You will have secured a place in
heaven; then follow me. When the young man heard these words, he went away

kingdom of God. You cannot serve God and be wealthy, either you will care for
one and not the other or you will nurse one and not the other. If you wish to
become a follower of mine go sell your possessions and accommodate the poor
and you will have value in the kingdom of God. Then follow me. He who
requests to come after me let him abandon self. Whoever cares to save his life
will lose his life. Whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of my Gospel
cares to save his life. How can a man profit if he gains the entire world than
loses his life? ‘What can a man substitute for his life? Woe to the wealthy! You
have received your comforts.
Parable Wealthy Man and Lazarus
Then Jesus spoke this parable, there was a wealthy man who lived exuberant
every day. There was a misfortunate man named Lazarus, who begged at the
wealthy man’s door. Stricken with boils, he desired to satisfy his hunger with the
crumbs that fell from the wealthy man’s table. It came to pass that Lazareth died
and the angles embraced him and took him to Peter. The wealthy man also died
and was buried. In Hades he was in anguish, and lifted up his eyes from a
