turned around to the people and said who touched my garments. The woman
saw the crowd move away from her. She was in the midst of them and Jesus
looking upon her. Amazed, trembling because she knew what had happened
came and fell down and worshipped him. In the presence of all the people she
explained her purpose to touch him and how she was healed straightway. Jesus
said to her have courage my daughter your faith has healed you. Go in peace
and be cured of your disease.
Jarus Daughter Raised
While he was still talking, some men came from the house of the leader of the
synagogue and said to Jarus your daughter is dead, do not trouble the teacher.
Jesus heard the words they had spoken and said to the father of the girl. Do not
be grieve but only believe and she will be restored to life. They came to the
house of Jarus the leader of the Synagogue and Jesus saw them in a tumult. The
singers weeping, wailing an excited crowd. He said to them that is enough. The
little girl is not dead but she is asleep. They laughed at him. They knew she was
dead. Then he put everyone out and he did not allow anyone to enter with him
except Peter, James, John and the Father and Mother of the little girl. He entered
where the little girl was laid and took her by her hand. Then said to her little girl
rise up. Her spirit returned. She straightway rose up and walked. They were all
amazed. He said to her parents give her something to eat. He then warned them
not to tell any man what had happened. This news spread all over the country.
Feast in Matthews House
It came to pass; Matthew made him a great feast in his house. Jesus came with
his followers and sat to eat. Now there was a great company of Publicans and
sinners that had come together and sat down with Jesus and his followers.
Parable the Servant
As he reclined he spoke a parable to those who had gathered in the house. He
said know which of you has a servant who plows his field and prepares it for
seed or cares for and feeds his sheep. If he should come from the field or flocks
would say to him enter in and set down? He would rather say to him prepare
something that I may have my supper and gird yourself and serve me until I eat
and drink. Then you also can eat and drink. Will that servant receive praise
because he did what he was commanded to do? I do not think so. When you
have done all the things commanded you; do not become idle and say we have
done what was our duty to do.
