Parable Man Noble Family
A great man of a noble family went to a far country to receive for himself a
kingdom and to return. He called twelve followers, and commanded them to
gather new converts until I come back. The people of Jerusalem hated him and
sent messengers after him saying we do not want him to rule over us. When he
received the kingdom, and returned he called his followers to whom he
commanded. He wanted to know what each one of them had gained by gather
new converts. The first one came and said my Lord I have won over ten pilgrims.
He said to him oh benevolent follower! Because you are found faithful in a little,
you will be a guardian over these ten pilgrims. The second came and said my
lord I have won over five pilgrims. He said to him oh benevolent follower!
Because you are found faithful in a little, you will be a guardian over these five
pilgrims. Another one came and said my Lord I kept your command within by
heart and did not win over one pilgrim. I was afraid of you, because you are a
harsh man. You pick up what you have not laid down and you reap what you
have not sown. He said to him I will judge you from your own mouth oh wicked
follower. You knew me that I am a harsh man and pick up what I have not laid
down and reap what I have not sowed. Why then did you not teach that some
seed might be planted and in time other followers may win over the fruit from that
which you planted? When I came I could see young plants sprouting? He said to
those who stood in his presence. He will not be a guardian over any take him
away. He said to them I say to you. Everyone who has shall be given and from
him who has not, even that which he has will be taken away from him. Those
enemies who were not willing that I should rule over them bring them here, bind
them and cast them outside there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The
next day he and those with him went forward to go to Jerusalem. As Jesus
passed from there he was delayed by two blind men.
Two Blind Men Healed
When Jesus went out of Jericho a large crowd followed him. As he passed from
there two blind men were setting by the roadside. When they heard that Jesus
was passing by they cried out saying have mercy on us oh Lord Son of David.
The people said to them keep quiet. They cried out the louder saying Lord have
mercy upon us. Jesus stopped twelve men gathered around him. He called out to
the two blind men saying what you wish for me to do. His followers brought the
two blind men into the midst of the temple they stood before Jesus and said that
their eyes may be opened. He said to them do you believe that I can do this?
They said yes, our Lord. He had mercy upon them and touched their eyes and
said let it be to you according to your faith. Straightway their eyes were opened.
They all glorified and praised the heal power of Jesus giving him thanks. Jesus
command them see that no one know. The people were amazed at the miracle
that was performed on two men who were blind but now could see clearly. The
two men became followers of Jesus and the news spread throughout the country.
