Talking of Snapchat, the minimum age is 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection
Act (COPPA).
When
users
download it, Snapchat asks for their date of birth, and if their birth year is under 13, users are redirected
to the kid version, called “SnapKidz.” More than 98 percent of college-aged students use social media. In
addition, an annual nationwide survey of college students by UCLA found that 27.2 percent of students
spent more than six hours on social media a week in 2014, up from 19.9 percent in 2007. Social
Networking gives users the opportunity to express themselves and to share post or comment on an
interesting pictures or videos.
Facebook for instance, is mostly used by friends and family to share pictures and to keep friends close.

and to advertise and sell their products to buyers or sellers. The number of users on social networking is
increasing every year because it provides users with accessibility to communicate Nationwide with
friends and family across the World. It increases productivity in online marketing system. New goods
and services can be advertised and sold out Nationwide without having to spend money to buy plane
ticket to sell goods to consumers (Facebook advertisements; it also fall under online-shopping or e-
commerce servicing).
