Kampung Tengah 2 Water Treatment Plant

Sufficient storage is provided for eight (8) drums of Chlorine. Chlorines are stored
under a pressure of eight (8) bar and a temperature of 32°C. The storage areas are
fully enclosed to contain Chlorine leaks and to force ventilation. When ventilated fans
are operated, a slight negative pressure is maintained in the store and thus prevents
the gas from flowing through the clearances of the door and building. Designated
area is provided for empty and full drums. Chlorine drums are placed on specially
constructed concrete cradles for standby. The drums are lifted using overhead crane
for removal back to the chlorine suppliers using lorries. Drum specification and
drawing are provided in Appendix B2.
