in the merit of the righteousness of Noach (see Beit HaLevi in Parshat Noach for further
discussion). Therefore it is now understood why Hashem gave the green light for Noach and his
family to eat before the animals in the ark.
Animals not only play a significant role in the Pesach miracle, as discussed earlier in the
Haggadah regarding the ten plagues, but even in our everyday lives there are laws to ensure
that animals are treated with dignity and respect. Enjoy the meal!
