SAFETY RULES
All work on Vulcan property or at Vulcan worksites is subject to MSHA, OSHA
and/or State safety and health requirements. These requirements establish
certain appropriate safety and health rules for all employers which should be
followed in order to ensure safe and healthful working conditions. It is the
responsibility of each contractor to determine the applicable legal requirements
with which it must comply.
General Workplace Safety Rules
• Hot Work
• Cranes
• Excavation Work
• Electrical Safety
• Motor Vehicle and Mobile Equipment Standards
• Confined Spaces/Tank Work
• Tank Welding
• Blasting
• Chemical Hazard Communication Program
• Flammable and Combustible Liquids Storage and Use
• First Aid and Emergency Action Plan
ENVIRONMENTAL RULES
All work on Vulcan property or at Vulcan worksites is subject to federal, state
and/or local environmental requirements. In addition to the items listed
below, it is also the responsibility of each contractor to determine the
applicable regulatory requirements with which it must comply.
x No storage of petroleum products without express consent from the
Vulcan Representative. If allowed, appropriate Spill Response plans will be
implemented.
x No equipment or vehicle maintenance will be performed without express
consent from the Vulcan Representative.
x No bringing of fill material onͲsite without express consent from the
Vulcan Representative.
x All spills and leaks will be addressed immediately and reported to the
Vulcan Representative.
