contractor and nonͲcontractor employees from the affected area and
immediately notify their Vulcan Representative. Once all personnel are
withdrawn, the contractor is responsible for taking appropriate corrective
action, and notifying their Vulcan Representative of conditions that constituted
the perceived imminent danger.
CONTRACTOR REPRESENTATIVE
Each contractor will designate a representative to act as the primary contact with
Vulcan. This Contractor Representative will have the following duties,
responsibilities and authority:
• Monitor and enforce safety and health requirements with contractor
employees and ensure that all contractor work is performed in a safe
manner.
• Correct any hazards and/or conditions or practices which violate safety
rules, regulations or statutes.
• Notify their Vulcan Representative of potential hazardous conditions and/or
practices or any circumstances which constitute an imminent danger.
• Withdraw all contractor personnel from conditions constituting an
imminent danger.
• Notify their Vulcan Representative of conditions constituting an imminent
danger.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL
CONTRACTORS
Independent Contractor Registry Ͳ As mandated by 30 CFR Part 45, all
contractors must provide Vulcan with the required information for Vulcan's
Independent Contractor Registry.
Sign In Ͳ When arriving at the operation for the first time, all contractor
personnel must first report to the plant office or other designated location and
sign the facility visitor’s log. You will be expected to observe any additional signͲ
in procedures that are in effect at the plant or worksite.
