Nomination Recognition 2017
Report by Cross Functional Team
CATEGORY: CROSS FUNCTIONAL TEAM AWARD
PROJECT: Wooster Tiger Team
CATEGORY: DOING WHAT IT TAKES
NOMINATOR: John Hooker
The team has already completed several improvements:
? A person has been assigned to monitor ASRS Audit Pallet reports daily
? Additional work instructions and training have been created for ASRS personnel
? The Batch Determination process has been adjusted to limit to customer
requirements
? Maintenance techs have renewed focus on ASRS sensors
? The SAP WM Activity Monitor is now being used to provide visibility of TOs and to
monitor for transactions not completed
? Additional movement types have been created
? The delivery due list display has been enhanced
? Re-training of personnel and monitoring of processes continues
In summary, the Wooster Tiger Team has had a very positive impact on overall
shipping productivity. At the beginning of this effort (early August), we were having
difficulty shipping 70K cases per day. By year end, we were shipping in excess of
100K cases a day on a regular basis, and past due orders had been effectively
eliminated. While other teams certainly had a lot to do with this, the Tiger Team
played a critical role.
