? Team enabled a new way of working for GOJO to make the supply chain
organization more self sufficient in the supply of ethanol to both GOJO Wooster
Campus and GOJO Lippman Campus
? Above initial requirements for ethanol unloading this project also incorporated
initial infrastructure for transferring ethanol into Wooster for future blending
operations
? Conducted vendor, local customer (Smuckers), and current rail unloading
supplier (Peoples) visits to understand loading process and build in applicable
practices/processes into our operations to ensure effective, efficient, and safe rail
unloading operations
? Work with Local, State, Federal and Railroad to understand and meet all code
requirements for this `new to GOJO? process
? Used GOJO SC Engineering resource to design, procure, install, and test rail
unloading equipment.
? Implemented new qualify acceptance process to test raw materials at the rail car
vs. truck to reduce quality checks to 25% of previous
? Complete capital project and met timelines to enable significant local and state
reimbursement that allowed GOJO to activate the rail in Wooster
o Enhanced safety approach from learnings applied from vendor/partner visits ?
relocated fall protection poles on-site at Wooster to the rail site
o Original plan was to leverage existing rail spur and rail along the buildings,
however, learning from the rail company led to the creation of an entirely new rail off-
loading site
o Used internal resources where applicable for rail grounding, external lighting,
gravelling around the storm drain, and painting
? Created new process for receiving rail and transferring ethanol from rail car to
tanker truck
? Updated SAP mater data and trained on processes to enable successful
material movement within SAP
