PROFILE:
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
The team recognized there was "tribal knowledge" and wanted to define validation
processes. It was clear that there were company wide opportunities to help educate
others as to the work necessary to create, execute and deliver validation studies as
they relate to cleaning, mix and packaging processes. This team is a good
representation of continuous improvement because they first recognized a need to
document the "as is" validation process and the team is a multi-year project where
the next phase is providing recommendations and delivering a presentation to other
GOJO departments to gain an understanding of validation.

Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
The team collaborated well with each other and engaged a summer student during
the beginning of the project. This served as a training opportunity and also gave the
team insight from someone who is less familiar with GOJO processes.

What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
The team completed the following major actions:
1. Outlined the processes for cleaning, mix and packaging processes.
2. Used Visio to visually depict these processes which included the following:
a. Information needed prior to protocol creation
b. Protocol creation
c. Protocol approval
d. Protocol execution
e. Reporting
f. Report approval
g. Release
h. Change Control task closure

3. Determined time associated with identified processes
