Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
Dan has demonstrated being a strong Courageous Communicator. For example, his work on the Supro max
cost savings project has uncovered issues with our formula prototype, our packaging components and our test
methods. By shining a light on all of these issues the team has been able to improve the formula, minimize the
impact of component variability on test results and ensure we perform the most relevant testing. As a result,
the project, which had been stalled, is advancing again.

Dan pursued an unrelenting focus on the story the data was telling not the story we wanted to hear.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
Dan's clarity and candor has helped advance several projects: Supro max cost savings, LPK dispensing,
countermount foam quality. Each of these projects needed to focus on the true underlying issues and begin to
problem solve quicker and more effectively.
