Chris, Haithum and Demetrius demonstrated full ownership of the problem, a strong
sense of urgency and customer focus as well as creativity in putting together short
term and long term solutions.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
Chris, Haithum and Demetrius were able to keep the impacted formulas in
production by exhaustively searching through our network of distributors to locate a
few more drums of the discontinued raw material, working with key stakeholders to
build product inventory and then quickly updating the formulas and labels to remove
the raw material before finished good and vegetable protein supplies ran out.

Driving and implementing a change like this requires the support and help from
multiple stakeholders. Individuals from Supply Chain, Regulatory, TSM and
International supported the planning, CC and ECR work. And Matt Caetta
performed product development work to allow the team also address a plant quality
issue as part of the updates to the formulas.
