Nomination Recognition 2017

        Report by Individual Nominee

       CATEGORY: DOING WHAT IT TAKES

       NOMINEE NOMINATOR DEPARTMENT
Todd Rowe Jeffery Bechdel Wooster Packaging - Direct 260917

Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.

Todd is a leader in every sense of the word. After coming to Gojo from Morton Salt, he quickly learned about
soap, Purell and the bottling industry. He jumped right in and is not shy to tell you he'd like a little better
understanding of something. He is eager to learn jobs that aren't even his responsibility just so he can help out
if need be. When asked Todd always has a good answer how to proceed or work through a problem. He
expects a lot of his employees but is grounded enough to know everyone has limits. By Todd having a can-do
attitude, it provokes others to do the same and maybe go a step further to help, mentor, or train someone.
Todd being the only Supervisor in Packaging at Wooster he is constantly in meetings throughout the day yet
finds a way to get all his work done. Having to work overtime on FTO or dispensers (sometimes months at a
time), he has been able to perform at this high level coming in early working 11 or more hours a day. He always
finds a way to make it happen.

Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
Todd is a great leader. He can read his employees and knows what they need and or motivates them to do
better or try harder. If you have a complaint, he is there to listen. If you're having a tough time with something
(in or outside of work) he will listen and offer his advice if requested. If he senses the crews are wore out he is
right there to come by to give you a quick pep talk and a few laughs. He knows that with so much time being
spent at work it's important for everybody to get along, and it's also important to be able to laugh and enjoy your
       job a little.

What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
The outcomes are clear for all to see. If it wasn't for Todd's help as Supervisor at Wooster, the process of
developing and instructing efforts to get the FTO, CL1, Dispensers, Label Room, and Blow Molding operations
under way, would have been exceptionally tougher. Todd always has a positive attitude, and offers a viable
solution to any problem we may face. He is strong willed and minded and able to get the most out of his
employees. He is able to be successful by obtaining your respect for him and you cant help but want to help
and do a good job for the guy.

       CONTRIBUTORS:
Becoming a Supervisor from outside Gojo, Todd relied a lot on Myself, and the rest of the PL's Nick Swires,
Jennifer Clay, and Rick StClair. Rick and Jenn came from outside too, but we have all grown close and are
willing to help each other with every and any thing.
